A 2nd Place Finish

(I realize that these posts are most likely boring for most people, but it's our way of getting details down to be remembered later when scrap booking.)
Right in the middle of this extreme heat and widespread power outage, the girls' soccer tournament went on.  When the team was not playing, we all spent our time under these three tents attempting to keep out of the direct sun and stay as cool as possible.  

Game 1 of the day was against Ireland.  Megan scored one of the goals after receiving a crossover from a teammate!  We won 4-1.

Game 2 was vs. Mexico.  We won 3-0.

Game 3 was vs. Greece.  We lost 0-2 (one of the goals being a PK). 

Game 4 was vs. Italy.  In this game, Megan had an assist in to Riley, who scored the goal.  We won 4-1.   (v. Italy; Megan is #9)

 

Championship game was vs. Greece (again).  We lost in OT 0-1. 

Grace played Defense the entire day.  (vs. Greece)

During the regular season, their team was undefeated.  They came in 2nd place in the tournament.
